Finish up Peer Review, Writing E-mails Part II
Here's today's plan:
1) Finish up your peer review from before break if you need too.
2) Read this handout about writing academic e-mails. After you finish, do the assignment at the end.
3) If you finish the above, open up your first draft of the final research paper and look over my feedback. Make sure you understand it and ask me if you have questions. If you finish that, take some time to revise your paper.

FInal Research Paper Draft & Annotated Bib. Comments
About the research paper:
I commented on all of your drafts yesterday. If you don't have comments from me, I couldn't find your paper in Dropbox. I searched for about 5 minutes and didn't see the document.
Issues that came up:
-Formatting: I'm not sure if it was because it was a draft or what but many of you still do not have the correct formatting. Please look at and review the APA student handbook.
-Using sources to support your points: Many of you do not have enough citations to support your points. Each main point should have around 2 citations to support it. At this point your arguments need to be grounded in clear logic. If you can't find evidence for your point either delete it or adapt it so that evidence will support it.
-Incomplete drafts: Maybe I should have graded the drafts? I don't know but many of you didn't write a complete draft. I will not comment on another draft. Please be sure to write at least 5 complete pages.
If I think of any other major issues I'll let you know. Review the instructions for the assignment carefully.
About the annotated bibliography:
I also commented on all of your bibliographies. Some of them were excellent, others needed some work. One major problem that came up was some of you do not have enough academic sources. Please remember that you need to cite at least four academic sources in this paper. Also review the source reliability lesson and make sure all of your sources are academic.
If you don't see feedback on your bibliography I couldn't' find it in Dropbox. I took time looking for it, but it didn't show up.
Let me know if you have any questions. Hope you're having a good holiday! :D
