Sources for Final Research Paper, Deadlines
I've updated the directions for the final research paper. Please include at least 4 journal articles as sources so that you get good research experiences.
Also I'm having trouble reading everyone's drafts so I've pushed back some of the deadlines for assignments. Please review them at least every other day. I might change them again depending on how things go in the class.
Let me know if you have any questions!

Alternatives to 'Says' or 'States'
As I've been reading through your first drafts of the GRP I've noticed that a lot of you use the words 'says' or 'states' very frequently when you cite a source. I recommend that you vary your word choice more. Here's a list of some alternatives to 'says' and 'states.' However don't just pick a word randomly! Make sure to look it up in the dictionary to make sure you have the right meaning.
Note: The list includes 'thinks' but I advise against that word. It doesn't sound incredibly professional for whatever reason.

P.I.E. Structure in P-S Essay
The P.I.E. structure in your problem-solution paper is not as straightforward as it was in the diagnostic essay. What I mean is that you can structure it in two different ways either the way you did for the diagnostic (TS-P-I-E) or a different way in which your TS also functions as your P. Please review this handout for an example on how to do so. Don't hesitate to ask if you have questions!
